Conference in Atlanta - June 2012

Next month Knowledge Relay will host a second conference on specific nuclear workgroup reports in Atlanta.  The previous meeting was in January in Florida with attendees from:

  • Exelon
  • First Energy
  • Florida Power and Light
  • Energy Northwest
  • Pacific Gas and Electric
  • PSEG
  • Southern California Edison
  • Bechtel
  • Westinghouse
The meeting in June, will be used to share the reports created from participant advice of the January conference.  The new report templates shared will be automated in the following areas:  data pull, data integration, report creation, report distribution.  The goal is to have the nuclear power operator community agree on the content, look, and feel and then to have it all automated removing manual processes to create the targeted reports.

The five reports to be presented are:

  1. Scope Stability
  2. Schedule Adherence
  3. Resource Loading
  4. Weekly Resource Adherence
  5. Scope Survivability
If there are agreement among the participants, these report templates will be provided to them for future use allowing for more automation of the data and reporting process.

If time permits, the participants will provide input on the next series of reports which they would like to have standardized with templates and automated data integration.  The data comes from their various ERP, Project/Scheduling, Cost, and Legacy sources.  The solution presented will automate these reports regardless of data sources in templates that the nuclear power industry agrees should be suitable.

The solutions should be closely in line with international nuclear operators needs as well.

If you are interested in the meeting and wish to attend a shared web based "Live Meeting" will be available.  Please contact:  Mary Owings for an invitation.
