PANAJI, India, May 28 (UPI) -- Russian Ambassador Alexander Kadakin said that nuclear power is the future of energy for India.
Kadakin argued that even if India somehow acquired global oil output,
it wouldn't prove sufficient for the country's long-term energy needs.
Kadakin spoke to journalists after inaugurating a Russian consular office in Panaji, observing.
"Nuclear power is the only way out of the situation," Kadakin said.
"It can make India self-sufficient in energy. Otherwise, even if India
buys all the oil in the world, it would not be sufficient for its energy
needs."
