From the News-Herald - With a renewal licensing process by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission looming over the next decade, the head of the Perry Nuclear Power Plant is reinforcing his company’s commitment to investing in Lake County. The operating license at the more than 27-year-old power plant doesn’t expire until 2026, but FirstEnergy officials plan to submit a 20-year renewal application in September 2015, said spokeswoman Jennifer Young.Read more...
